The Arсona team has embarked on an ambitious project once again – transferring the digital reconstruction of Ludza Castle, built in 1399 by German crusaders, into the Metaverse.
In 2014, the our team revolutionised tourism by creating the world’s first augmented reality park over ancient ruins.
This AR park became a real sensation, attracting over 250,000 visitors annually to a small town with 4,000 residents.
The digital reconstruction of the ancient fortress not only brought history to life allowing tourists to immersing in the middle ages but also contributed to the town’s economic growth
Now, the Arсona team has decided to transfer this successful case to the Metaverse.
The Arсona team plans to transfer the castle to the public of Ludza and launch monetisation tools for the augmented reality park.
This will allow the castle to become a source of financial income for both the city’s treasury and the restoration and reconstruction of the castle itself. https://www.arcona.space/post/immersing-in-the-middle-ages
Hooray! We’ve received the draft version of the fortress walls and citadel of the Livonian Order castle! 🎉
Our talented 3D artists have worked hard and created a draft version of the 3D mesh, based on data from drones, aerial photography of the hill with the fortress ruins, and descriptions from ancient manuscripts. The project includes the finest details to accurately recreate the historical appearance of the castle. 🏰
Imagine this: life will once again flourish within these walls! We plan to use augmented reality technology so you can immerse yourself in the medieval atmosphere and feel like a part of history. Buildings will be created within these walls, and the inhabitants and defenders of the fortress will come to life.
Inside the digital fortress, there will be museum exhibits where you can see 3D copies of artifacts found during excavations, as well as reconstructions of medieval household items and weapons. And on certain days, you can enjoy thrilling reconstructions of medieval battles, where you can see how the defenders of the fortress fought. ⚔️
We expect to complete the transfer of the fortress into the metaverse by September and eagerly await the first visitors to our virtual museum. Stay tuned for updates and get ready for an exciting journey into the past!
