We are pleased to announce that glTF (Graphics Library Transfer Format) models are now supported in the new build of Arcona augmented reality viewer. You can now receive and view 3D models through a direct link to independent resources such as Sketchfab.
GL Transmission Format) is a file format for storing 3D scenes and models that is extremely easy to understand (the structure is written in the JSON standard), extensible and easily compatible with modern web technologies. This format is intended to be an efficient, interoperable format with minimal file size and application processing at runtime.
The update is already available for testers registered with TestFlight, who can install the app and explore the new feature on their territory.
Our team is finalizing the setup of a personal account to receive external links. Users who want to be able to directly add their models to the world of Arcona augmented reality can start preparing their collections in their Sketchfub account.
